Paul Henry Hill, 80, a resident of Kearsarge, passed away at Gardenview Assisted Living where he had been a resident for the past three years.
He was born in Mohawk on February 6, 1935, a son of the late Reuben and Impi (Biekkola) Hill.
Paul graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1954. He served our country proudly as a member of the United States Army. Paul worked at C & H Foundry and Northern Hardwoods. He then became a custodian at Calumet Schools for 22 years before retiring in June of 1997.
On November 14, 1959, he married Barbara Dower. She preceded him in death in 2007.
Paul enjoyed living next to the Wolverine Baseball field and loved watching games there. He was also an avid Red Wings, Tigers, and Packer fan.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Besides his parents and wife, Paul was preceded in death by his two brothers David and John “Jack” and a sister Dona Schneiderhan.
He is survived by:

Sheila (Brian) Rheault of Wellington, Florida
Grandchildren: Bryan Winquist and Sarah Winquist
Great Grandchild: Kayden Winquist
Brother-in-Law: Bill Schneiderhan of Calumet
Sister-in-Law: Deloris Coppo of Burton, Michigan
Special friend: his cat Ralphie
Friends may call at the Erickson-Crowley Peterson Funeral Home on Friday August 14, 2015 from 4-8 PM and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet with Pastor Peter Vorhes to officiate.
Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
